WHO WE ARE
Miltos Sakellariou, the Chairman of the Board of the KOINSEP CYCLADES, studied Biology in Greece at the University of Patras and made research at the Institute of Ethology “ La Montagne des Singes” in France. He has completed postgraduate studies in Counseling Psychology at the Middlesex University, specializing in Addictions and Family Therapy. He has specialized in Systemic - Dialectic Psychosocial Approach and Team Process Work, as well as in the animation of young people from AKMA.
He has worked at the Athens School of Medicine, Laboratory of Experimental Pharmacology. The object was the study of the operation of the Central Nervous System (CNS) in terms of Behavior and Biochemistry, the pharmacodynamics of drug groups used in psychiatry, and drugs leading to drug abuse.
He has been working in hospitals, schools, in Greece, in Africa on a voluntary basis with Médecins Sans Frontières. Participation in mission with Médecins sans Frontières in northern Uganda.
He had worked as Prevention Counselor in Addictions, with advisory groups of parents, teachers and teenagers at the "Cyclades Prevention Center of Drugs abuses’’ Public Entity-Ministry of Health. In 2002, he created and undertook the training and coordination of the mixed (parents-teen-educators) theatrical group of FEREKIDIS till now. The theatrical group with drama therapy and teamwork techniques wrote scenarios that were present to the Apollo Theater of Syros and were also presented at the International Youth Theater Festival in Grenoble, France.
The last 6 years was the Director of the Youth Counseling Station of the Cyclades Prefecture, Greek Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs. At the same period was Anti-bullying Coordinator, at the Observatory of the Greek Ministry of Education on Violence In School, at the Regional Directorate of Education of the South Aegean.
He has been appointed a member and General Secretary of the Board since 2015, of the Child Abuse and Neglect/Juvenile Delinquency Committee of the Aegean District, (EPA Syros-Public Entity), providing services as a Social Service, for the prevention and treatment of juvenile delinquency and supervised by the Greek Ministry of Justice. Actually, he participates in the Interdisciplinary Team as Prevention Counselor in Addictions, of the EPA Syros, consisting of psychiatrist/child psychiatrist, health visitor, psychologists, social workers, Representative of School Community in order to provide effective psychosocial support to minors and their families environment.
He is Chairman of the Board and founding member of the Social Cooperative Enterprise of Cyclades –ALTERA VITA. He has the responsibility, of the application, management, and coordination of the EU ALTERA VITA’S projects.
Apostolos Maris is a registered Occupational Therapist for the elderly people and he organizes activities for them for the last 20 years. He is a graduate of ATEI (Technological Educational Institution of Athens) and the Department of Occupational Therapy (dealing with people with disabilities).
He is now working at the Day Centre for the elderly at Municipality of Syros-Ermoupolis. He is also a professional musician, playing a variety of different musical instruments. His Diploma thesis was "Music activities and Occupational therapy" and for 5 months he has done his practice as a student at the Cefn Coed Hospital in Swansea, Wales. He also has a rich experience from different hospitals and institutions in Greece for the disabled. He has worked as an Occupational Therapist with children with Cerebral Palsy at Thessaloniki Greece and for 10 years he was an animateur in summer camps for children with multiple disabilities.
He has attended a lot of seminars in a different field as animateur and how to organize activities for children, art as a therapeutic tool and computer as also a tool for therapy etc.. He likes to use all this knowledge in his work as a therapist. He has also a rich experience as a music teacher (teaching singing techniques and different musical instruments: kanonaki, guitar, ud, layouto, ney etc.) and as a professional musician (participation in many musical concerts in Greece and abroad: Bulgaria, Turkey, New York, Boston, Portugal, Spain, Algeria, France, Finland). He combines his love and passion for music with his work as a therapist (Music activities for people with dementia and Alzheimer disease). He was a grateful music student of a lot of different artists and great musicians and he has two diplomas in Music Harmony and Orchestration for wind instruments(he was also a conductor at the Philarmonic Orchestra of Syros-Ermoupolis Municipality for 5 years). He is a founding member of the Orchestra of the Cyclades with conductor Nikos Kypourgos that gave a lot of concerts (Herodes Atticus, Athens Megaron of Music) with well-known Greek artists (Maria Farantouri, Alkinoos Ioannidis, Manolis Mitsias, Dionisis Savvopoulos, Eleftheria Arvanitaki etc.). He participates in the Orchestra of the Cyclades playing kanonaki, classical guitar, ney and singing.
He also participates at Anima Syros international festival (a festival for animation and movies) with his original musical compositions and recordings playing a lot of different instruments.
Chasandrinos : Basil was born in Volos in 1980 and is a graduate of
Greek Literature of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens with a
specialization in Linguistics. He is a graduate of Byzantine Ecclesiastical
Music with a degree Excellent unanimously from the Karkala Conservatory in
Volos and a Harmonized Degree of Excellence from the Conservatory of Athens. He
serves as Protopsel at the Church of Aghios Nikolaos of Kallithea, also
teaching Byzantine music lessons to children and adults in the parish
activities. He has participated as a choir at concerts and festivals of
Byzantine and Polyphonic music in Greece and Cyprus. In the past, he has also
worked as a teacher in the 2nd EPAL and IEK of Sivitanidion School as well as
in the Art & Culture Center of the Municipality of Amaroussion in the
Cultural Events section. Today, he is a professor at the ''EN CHORDAIS KAI
ORGANEIS'' Traditional Music School, based in Syros, teaching the courses of
Byzantine Music and Music Education, while working as a philologist in the
private sector. He lives mainly in Syros, is married and has two children.

Stefanos Palaiologos: Is a youth worker having experience in mobility, with previous contacts with organizations abroad, and having knowledge of institutions and occupational groups in the area, as well as the means to contact them. Ηe gained experience in Youth Work through numerous local and international business oriented non-formal education, he has participated in numerous activities abroad under the Youth in Action and Erasmus + programs. He speaks fluent English and French. Welcome the participants in the host country and provide personal support to the participant in crisis situations.
Leonardos Palaiologos: Is a professional who is in close contact with the sending organization during the whole mobility process. Work and experience in EU projects since 1995 with ANADRASIS –NGO in Syros. For more than 15 years engaged in youth work in youth participation and human rights education. Facilitator and trainer, non-formal education expert, international and youth mobility. Application, management, coordination of projects funded by Leonardo da Vinci, Socrates, DG Education and Culture. He speaks fluent English and French.
Yannis Lappas: Teacher in ICT and multimedia department where he works in the ICT department. E-learning coordinator with expertise in testing software and plug-in modules Software and website developer. Webmaster and Technical administrator of the E-learning MOODLE platform of our organization. He always keen on youth work and youth policy; deals with the Social Cooperative of Cyclades since its founding, and deals with the management of the Executive Council, the bureaucratic and administrative part of the Association. Majoring in computer engineering, he deals with music and computer science. He has a past as a musician and is passionate about cinema. He constantly deals with the creative, artistic and musical.
Yannis Daskos: Teacher of Mathematics and Physics, coach, student counsellor. He deals with young people and youth policies as well as having expertise in administrative and legal matters. Agricultural manager grows of our plant cultivations of Aromatic plants in our fields. Arrange the insurance required for mobility travel (tickets, health, accident ...).
Eirini Korfiati: For more than 15 years engaged in youth work in youth participation and human rights education. She has participated in many international activities under the Erasmus + and Youth in Action programs as organizer, trainee and active member of the theatrical team of ALTERA VITA. She speaks fluent English and has significant connections with the local social life.
With the ERASMUS + programmes are involved also other members of the KOINSEP CYCLADES- ALTERA VITA, Social Workers, Psychologists, teachers, ICT specialists, youth workers.
